Your journey to Thailand usually starts with arriving in Bangkok. We recommend dedicating at least 3/4 days to the capital to visit the most important and well-known attractions.

To get to know Bangkok, we suggest these visits (it’s not a “package”, you can choose the ones you like the most):

DAY 2: BANGKOK:

Visit to the Royal Palace and the most important Temples of the city. Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide and departure for the visit of the Royal Palace, the Wat Pho and the Wat Traimit, the main Temples of Bangkok.

Inside the Royal Palace is the most famous temple of Thailand: the Wat Phra Keo, the “Temple of the Emerald Buddha” with a 65-centimeter-high Buddha statue carved in a single piece of nephrite, not emerald, as the name erroneously indicates.

The Wat Pho is also famous for being an important center of meditation and school of traditional Thai massage. At the Wat Trai Mit you can see the famous Golden Buddha which is 3 meters high and weighs five and a half tons, totally in gold.

Kanchanaburi:

Today’s itinerary includes a visit to the War Museum and Allied Cemetery and the Bridge over the River Kwai. Before lunch you will also take a train ride to Nam Tok, made interesting not only by the scenery, but by the history this route represents. The bridge crosses the Khwae Yai River, which is a branch of the Mae Klong River. It was built by Allied War prisoners during the Japanese occupation of Thailand in World War II. It was part of the strategic plan to cross Burma, from which the Japanese would secure supplies to conquer the other countries of Western Asia. The railway was about 415 kilometers (about 300 km in Thailand and 110 km in Burma) and crossed the Three Pagoda Pass in the district of Sangkhlaburi, the northernmost part of Kanchanaburi province.

Erawan National Park
Spend a full day visiting the famous Erawan National Park, Tham Phratat Caves and Srinagarinda National Park. Have lunch at a local restaurant. It is one of the most visited national parks and is located 65 km northwest of Kanchanaburi. Many visitors come to admire the seven-tiered waterfalls that also give the park its name. The highest level is said to resemble the three heads of the elephant, named “Erawan” in Thai, led by Indra in Hindu mythology. Turquoise murky waters flow down into natural pools, creating a spectacular scenery considered by many to be the most beautiful waterfall complex in all of Thailand. Various pools under the waterfalls are ideal for swimming, especially at the second level. The place is less crowded during the week. Ten kilometers from the main park headquarters is Tham Phrathat, a large cave adorned with wonderful stalactites.
